Coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing many disruptions to our world; below are resources to help you stay informed. #BowmanCountySmart

Fact 1:  Diseases can make anyone sick regardless of their race or ethnicity.
Fear and anxiety about Covid-19 can cause people to avoid or reject others even though they are not at risk for spreading the virus.

Fact 2:  For most people, the immediate risk of becoming seriously ill from the virus that causes Covid-19 is thought to be low.
However, the older and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk for more serious complications from Covid-19.

Fact 3:  There are simple things you can do to keep yourself and others healthy.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating or preparing food.
Avoid touching our eyes, nose and moth with unwashed hands. Stay home when sick.
Cover you cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Fact 4:  You can help stop Covid-19 by knowing the signs and symptoms:
Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath.
Seek medical help if developing these symptoms by calling you provider first or you know that you have been in contact with a person of confirmed Covid-19.

COVID 19 has officially been confirmed in BOWMAN County. What should you do? First and foremost do not Panic. Second continue to follow the guidelines that have been given over the past few weeks, especially social distancing and staying home when you are sick. Third everyone should start a Contact Journal. This is a document of Where you have been, when you were there, and who you had close contact. This will help Pulbic Health to contact those that may be exposed if you test positive. A close contact is someone who you are within 6ft or less of that person for 15 minutes or more. By following social distancing your list should be very short. This helps slow the spread. Keep that list short. Continue to Wash those hands, cover your coughs, stay home when your sick and follow the public health guidelines.
